29 Jun Conversant shows cromulence at Simpsons trivia, embiggens our company’s reputation
Under the guise of the Stupid, Sexy Flandererses, Conversant Media’s ace team took to Simpsons Trivia like Homer to a failed DIY project.
Dominating from start to finish, all in quest of a $60 bar voucher, the team of Ryman, Joe, Conks, Vinnie, Holly, Riordan, Shaun, Michal and Paddy took on the Golden Barley Hotel’s best Simpsons minds.
There were difficult questions, but thankfully all of that wasted youth paid off in the form of victory whiskeys, courtesy of the winner’s cheque of $60 in cold hard vouchers. Starward was the distillery, which is apt considering the team’s subsequent ambitions of worldwide Simpsons Trivia domination.
Highlights were Joe knowing which guest actor voiced Maggie Simpson’s only word ever broadcast on the show (Elizabeth Taylor for those playing at home), and one of the team members being able to sing the whole Simpsons softball song.
Conks also impressed us with his supreme depth of knowledge of the Simpsons’ realm, to go along with his unparalleled knowledge of everything sport.
He even knew the name of the Aussie guy who appears in that one episode.
And let’s not forget Holly’s unbelievably good drawing of Riordan, which was somehow robbed of the best drawing award. Secretly, we think it’s because we were ahead at the halfway point!
So, who was the best Simpsons Trivia team? Yep, it was us. We would also accept ‘Snacktacular’.
I leave you with this image and quotation.
