
Zac Zavos
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Prior to forming Conversant in 2007, Zac spent nine years in IT consulting with a number of firms including IBM, Deloitte, Fidelity Investments UK, and ThoughtWorks. Zac has BA (Psych) and Master of Commerce (Information Systems & Management), both from the University of NSW. In 2009 & 2010 Zac was named one of Sydney’s 100 Creative Catalysts by Vivid Sydney. Zac is a keen photographer and squash player and his passions include personal mobility devices, travel, and really great tea.

Zolton Zavos
Co-Founder & Publisher
Working out of Austin, Texas, Zolton is, amongst other things, Lost At E Minor’s managing editor and social media manager. He has immersed himself in the ever-changing world of pop culture through a variety of outlets over the years. He was previously the managing editor and creative director for Australian print magazines STU, Riot, and Hotpress; an editor at Yen and Pulp magazines; and a regular contributor to Revolver, The Brag, and Beat. He was also formerly the Global Managing Editor at Flavorpill, working out of their New York office, where he lived for 5 years between 2006-11. In 2009, Zolton was named as one of Sydney’s 100 Creative Catalysts. He has a BA and MA in History, and when he’s not working he plays squash, guitar and goes travelling with his wife, Alison.

Tristan Rayner
Head of Content & Community
With first class honours in Electrical Engineering and a deep background in online communities, Tristan heads the editorial team in Conversant. Having cemented The Roar as Australia’s largest sports fan community, Tristan continues to be challenged by new ventures and opportunities. Tristan’s interests span Formula 1 and football through to new technology and business. Tristan is in the final stages of completing a Masters of Business, thanks to the Neville Sawyer Scholarship in Business and Law.

Alana Saphin
Sales & Commercial Director
Alana looks after Conversant Media’s online sales. With a background in both marketing and media planning, Alana ensures our sites are positioned correctly in the market and attracting the right attention with national brands. Alana’s role also includes representing innovative weather site, willyweather.com.au. Alana has Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW.

Phillip Mahony
Account Manager
Phil has joined the Conversant Media team from News Limited where his background is in media sales and strategic account management. He has a Bachelor of Business Marketing from Charles Sturt University and is passionate about sport, in particular the Wallabies, Waratahs, and AFL. He was a North Sydney Bears tragic from way back. Other interests include music, travelling and a good glass of red.

Elise Boyd
Digital Producer
Elise lives and breathes design and technology. She grabbed her @elise Twitter handle before many people had heard of the service. Her first passion is in digital design, and within Conversant she looks after ad trafficking, design, consulting, and all the other things needed within a growing digital business. Elise has Bachelor of Information Technology (Digital Media). She likes photography, live music, and designer toys.

Ben Urquart
Account Executive
Ben recently joined the Conversant Media team from Edinburgh, Scotland. He recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class Masters in International Business. Ben is a passionate traveller and photographer. Prior to joining the team Ben lived and worked in Bangkok, Thailand for nine months. Whilst exploring Sydney, and the rest of the world, he is always on the hunt for the best food, wine, street art, beaches, galleries and shops.

Chad Bennett
Editorial Assistant
Chad has joined Conversant Media as a third-year Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) student at the University of Newcastle. He is tasked with editorial support – helping produce The Roar’s content across expert and fan content, live blogs, and new ventures. Since as long as he can remember he’s been captivated by sport, playing, coaching and watching football, and is excited by the ever-expanding possibilities of online journalism.

Cormack O’Connor
Lost At E Minor Australian Editor
Cormack is a young writer/photographer from Newcastle who shot his first music festival at age fifteen. When he’s not writing or photographing, you’ll find him stumbling around gigs in Sydney and Newcastle or soaking up culture and coffee in Melbourne.

Mike Gregg
Mike is an investor in Conversant Media. Mike has extensive managerial experience with over 30 years in logistics, retail, communications and health technology. His most recent role was nearly 10 years as Managing Director of Health Communication Network (HCN) which was a start-up in 1995, listed in 1999 and acquired by another public company for $116 million in 2005. Since HCN’s sale, Mike has focused his energies as an investor/director of up-and-coming communications and technology businesses including Cargowise, eMove and Conversant Media. Mike has an MBA (AGSM).
