Conversant Media is a fast growing digital media company that produces engaging premium websites for passionate, intelligent Australians with an interest in sports, culture and lifestyle technology. Our portfolio of sites include the renowned global culture website, Lost At E Minor, Australia’s leading sports opinion website, The Roar, and the millennial-tech and lifestyle website, Techly.

 

Founded in 2007 and acquired by HT&E in 2016, the combined Conversant Media sites have a reach of 3.1 million AU unique browsers including social media, 10 million people monthly.

We receive over 75,000 comments and 1,000 fan article submissions each month. Our websites are built around a unique hybrid content model of expert contributors alongside edited submissions from ‘the crowd’ – our audience – which creates a high interaction environment and provides a ‘voice’ for the legion of armchair gurus out there with something interesting and important to say.

In late 2010, Conversant managed a capital raising, with Network Ten becoming a minority investor in The Roar. Conversant purchased the shares back from Ten in 2016. In late 2016 Conversant Media was acquired by HT&E. We have offices in Surry Hills, Sydney.

Zac founded CM in 2007. Prior to CM, Zac worked with IBMGSA, Deloitte, Fidelity Investments, and ThoughtWorks. Zac has a BA and MCom from the UNSW. He loves photography, squash, and really great tea!

Daniel has spent most of his waking hours watching, listening and writing about sport, and joined CM after working on the 2016 Rio Olympics broadcast. If there's no sport on TV, you'll find him playing guitar, reading a good book or playing park cricket.

Josh is The Roar's Weekend Editor, but more accurately he's a rusted-on North Melbourne fan who is addicted to punny headlines. He once finished third in a hot chilli pie eating contest.

Riordan's a news junkie who spends most of his free time playing AFL or quoting entire episodes of 'The Simpsons'. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and worked in radio and TV before finding his home at CM.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism (Sport) from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Andrew backpacked and worked in digital content roles before joining CM. He loves photography, video games, travelling and anything out of the ordinary.

Jade has a BA in Advertising Design from Curtin University. Before taking on the role Club Roar Project Manager, Jade worked in the radio industry. Outside of work Jade will often be found checking out new bars around town, enjoying a game of AFL or hiking in the national park.
