Zac Zavos — Co-Founder & Managing Director
Prior to forming Conversant in 2007, Zac spent nine years in IT consulting with a number of firms including IBM, Deloitte, Fidelity Investments UK, and ThoughtWorks. Zac has BA (Psych) and Master of Commerce (Information Systems & Management), both from the University of NSW. Zac is a judge of the annual AIMIA awards and in 2009 & 2010 was named one of Sydney’s 100 Creative Catalysts by Vivid Sydney. Zac is a board member of Renew Newcastle. Zac is a keen photographer and squash player.
Zolton Zavos — Co-Founder & Publisher
Working out of Brooklyn, Zolton is, amongst other things, Lost At E Minor’s managing editor. He has immersed himself in the ever-changing world of pop culture through a variety of outlets over the years. He was previously the managing editor and creative director for Australian magazines STU, Riot, and Hotpress; an editor at Yen and Pulp magazines; and a regular contributor to Revolver, The Brag, and Beat. He was also formerly the Global Managing Editor at Flavorpill, working out of their New York office. In 2009, Zolton was named as one of Sydney’s 100 Creative Catalysts. Zolton has a BA and MA in History, and when he’s not working he plays squash, guitar and goes travelling with his wife, Alison.
Tristan Rayner — Head of Content & Community
With first class honours in Electrical Engineering and a deep background in online communities, Tristan joins Conversant with a brief to grow The Roar into the leading sports fan community in Australia. Tristan’s interests span Formula 1 and football through to social media (with the occasional line of procedural code thrown in for good measure). Tristan is part way through an MBA.
Alana Saphin – Sales & Commercial Director
Alana looks after Conversant Media’s online sales. With a background in both marketing and media planning, Alana ensures our sites are positioned correctly in the market and attracting the right attention with national brands. Alana’s role also includes representing innovative weather site, willyweather.com.au. Alana has Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW.
Mike Gregg
Mike is an investor in Conversant Media. Mike has extensive managerial experience with over 30 years in logistics, retail, communications and health technology. His most recent role was nearly 10 years as Managing Director of Health Communication Network (HCN) which was a start-up in 1995, listed in 1999 and acquired by another public company for $116 million in 2005. Since HCN’s sale, Mike has focused his energies as an investor/director of up-and-coming communications and technology businesses including Cargowise, eMove and Conversant Media. Mike has an MBA (AGSM).
