23 Apr Conversant site traffic update – 2.1m UBs and growing fast
Site traffic. It doesn’t sound all that exciting. But it is to us.
I joined the company in October 2013, less than seven months ago. In that time, I’ve seen Lost At E Minor’s Unique Reach almost double.
With the exception of an amazing spike when we reached 1m global UBs across a rolling month in July 2013, the site was typically reaching around 700-800k UBs in an average month. And now, that figure is close to 1.4m.
And while LAEM’s Twitter following interestingly remains fairly static at just over 23k followers (which I attribute to the fact that the site’s main USP is its beautiful visuals, which aren’t properly represented on the Twitter platform), I’ve seen Lost At E Minor’s Facebook Likes increase by over 150% in the same period. Likes have grown from less than 40k to 97k (which I have no doubt will have ticked over 100k by the time this post gets read, in a day or so).
Our total Facebook Reach (the algorithmic total derived from the number of people Liking, Sharing, or Commenting on Lost At E Minor posts) is, as of today, over 4.1m.
I can’t even describe how fantastic this is to see. Especially because the exponential growth of this awesome site, both in itself and across social media, all comes from the hard work and extreme dedication of a small team of passionate people around the world, who do an incredible job of finding, creating and curating vast amounts of amazingly interesting, quirkily compelling, socially shareable content, every single day.
But I can’t stop there.
Conversant Media’s latest baby Techly launched less than three months ago on 1st of February and has already reached nearly 600k global Unique Visitors, 260k in Australia.
We had forecast that the site would reach 150k Australian UBs by its third month. But it has already delivered reach of almost double that.
Again, this solid traffic is entirely due to the site’s content: a crafted blend of long-form informational articles written by renowned and well-respected tech journalists mixed with lighter, socially shareable posts and audience opinion, all driving Techly’s reach across the globe.
